About these terms
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of sterling-research.com and the purchase of products from Sterling Peptides, the trading name of Sterling Peptides Ltd, registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ.
By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and to our Research Use Disclaimer, Quality & Testing page, Shipping Policy, Refund Policy and Privacy Policy.
Age requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to purchase from Sterling Peptides. By placing an order, you confirm that you meet this requirement and are legally able to enter into a binding contract.
Research use only
All products are supplied strictly for in vitro laboratory research. Products sold on this website are:
- Not for human or animal consumption
- Not medicines, medical devices, foods, supplements or cosmetics
- Not intended for diagnostic, therapeutic, clinical or veterinary use
By purchasing, you confirm that:
- Products will be used solely for lawful research purposes

Orders and acceptance
All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. Payment must be received in full before dispatch. We reserve the right to:
- Refuse or cancel any order, with a full refund of any payment taken
- Refuse orders suspected of fraud or misuse
- Refuse orders where regulatory concerns arise
- Correct pricing or website errors
- Limit quantities purchased
Pricing and payment
All prices are shown in pounds sterling (£ GBP). Prices may change without notice, but the price you pay is the price shown when your order is placed. If a pricing error is identified, we may cancel the affected order and issue a full refund.
Shipping and delivery
We deliver within the UK by tracked service. Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed. We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including courier disruption or customs and border checks. Our Shipping Policy forms part of these Terms.
Customs and border controls
Customs and border controls are governed exclusively by the laws and authorities of each country. Sterling Peptides has no control over, and cannot intervene in, the inspection, clearance, holding or release of any parcel by customs or border authorities.
For any order that passes through customs or border controls:
- You are responsible for ensuring the products may be lawfully imported into your country
- You are responsible for any import duties, taxes, fees or charges
- We are not responsible for delays, inspections, seizures, returns or destruction of parcels by customs or border authorities
- Orders held or seized by customs or border authorities are not eligible for a refund or reshipment
We cannot provide documentation, contact customs on your behalf, or request the release of any parcel.
Risk and ownership
Ownership of goods passes to you once full payment has been received. Risk passes to you when the goods are delivered to the address you provided, or to a safe place or person you have nominated to receive them.
Lost or delayed parcels
If a parcel is delayed or reported missing, we will investigate with the courier and work with you to resolve it, which may include a replacement or refund.
If a replacement or refund is issued and the original parcel is later delivered, you agree to either return the duplicate goods or pay for them. Where a parcel is marked as delivered but reported missing, we may ask for supporting information to help the courier investigation.
Returns and refunds
Returns, cancellations and refunds are handled under our Refund Policy. In summary: orders can be cancelled free of charge before dispatch; damaged, faulty or incorrect items should be reported within 48 hours of delivery; and unopened, sealed items may be returned within 14 days of delivery. Opened or unsealed items cannot be returned for product-integrity reasons.
Returned parcels caused by incorrect delivery details provided by the customer may incur an administration cost.
Chargebacks and payment disputes
Please contact us first if there is a problem with your order. If a payment dispute or chargeback is opened, we may provide relevant evidence to the payment processor, including order records, tracking information, delivery confirmation and customer correspondence, and we may challenge disputes we believe are unjustified.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sterling Peptides is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit or opportunity, losses arising from misuse of products, regulatory non-compliance by customers, or delays beyond our reasonable control.
Our total liability for any order shall not exceed the price paid for the relevant products.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under the laws of England & Wales, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Intellectual property
All website content, including logos, branding, product information, images, text and design elements, is the intellectual property of Sterling Peptides (Sterling Research Group Ltd). No content may be copied, reproduced, distributed or used without our prior written consent.
Compliance with laws
Customers are responsible for ensuring their purchase, storage, handling and research use of products complies with all applicable laws and regulations. We make no representation about the legal status of products outside the UK.
Force majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural events, supply-chain disruption, cyber incidents, government action, or postal and courier interruptions.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated versions take effect when published on this website and apply to orders placed after that date.
