Description
KPV research peptide
KPV is a tripeptide made of three amino acids: lysine, proline and valine (Lys-Pro-Val). It is the C-terminal fragment (residues 11 to 13) of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH). Because it is so small, KPV is used in laboratory research to study whether a short fragment of α-MSH retains activity in models of inflammatory signalling, including NF-κB pathways, and how it is taken up by cells through peptide transporters such as PepT1.
Supplied as a lyophilised powder in a 10mg vial. KPV is not a licensed medicine in the UK. We supply it strictly as a research reagent.

Frequently asked questions
What is KPV peptide?
KPV is a tripeptide made of lysine, proline and valine (Lys-Pro-Val). It is the C-terminal fragment (amino acids 11 to 13) of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH) and is studied in vitro in research on inflammatory signalling.
What is the KPV sequence and formula?
The KPV sequence is Lys-Pro-Val (KPV). Its molecular formula is C16H30N4O4, with a molecular weight of about 342.4 g/mol. CAS number 67727-97-3.
How is KPV related to α-MSH and KLOW?
KPV is the last three amino acids of α-MSH, studied on its own as a much smaller fragment. KPV is also one of the four components of the KLOW peptide blend, alongside GHK-Cu, BPC-157 and TB-500.
What purity is your KPV?
Every batch is purity tested by Janoshik, an independent laboratory, using HPLC before it is released for sale.
How should KPV be stored?
Store the lyophilised powder sealed at −20 °C, protected from light and moisture. Allow the vial to reach room temperature before opening. Stability in solution should be validated within your own laboratory protocol.
Do you ship KPV from the UK?
Yes. Orders placed before 3PM UK time, Monday to Friday, are normally dispatched the same day by Royal Mail Tracked 24. See our Shipping Policy.
Do you provide dosing or usage advice?
No. KPV is supplied for in vitro laboratory research only. We do not provide dosage, administration or medical advice of any kind.
Research use only. This product is supplied strictly for in vitro laboratory research. It is not for human or animal use, and not for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. By purchasing, you agree to our Research Use Disclaimer.
