Description
Thymosin alpha-1 research peptide
Thymosin alpha-1 (thymalfasin) is a peptide of 28 amino acids with an acetylated N-terminus. It was first isolated from thymus tissue, an organ central to T-cell development, and is now produced synthetically. In the laboratory it is studied in research on immune signalling, including T-cell maturation, dendritic cell activity and Toll-like receptor (TLR) pathways.
Supplied as a lyophilised powder in a 10mg vial. Thymosin alpha-1 is not a licensed medicine in the UK. We supply it strictly as a research reagent.

Frequently asked questions
What is thymosin alpha-1?
Thymosin alpha-1 (thymalfasin) is a 28-amino-acid peptide with an acetylated N-terminus, originally isolated from thymus tissue. It is studied in vitro in research on immune signalling, including T-cell maturation and Toll-like receptor pathways.
Is thymosin alpha-1 the same as TB-500?
No. Thymosin alpha-1 and thymosin beta-4 come from different thymosin families. TB-500 is synthetic thymosin beta-4, a 43-amino-acid peptide, while thymosin alpha-1 is a separate 28-amino-acid peptide studied in immune research.
What is the thymosin alpha-1 sequence?
The sequence is Ac-Ser-Asp-Ala-Ala-Val-Asp-Thr-Ser-Ser-Glu-Ile-Thr-Thr-Lys-Asp-Leu-Lys-Glu-Lys-Lys-Glu-Val-Val-Glu-Glu-Ala-Glu-Asn-OH. Its molecular formula is C129H215N33O55, with a molecular weight of about 3108.3 g/mol.
What purity is your thymosin alpha-1?
Every batch is purity tested by Janoshik, an independent laboratory, using HPLC before it is released for sale.
How should thymosin alpha-1 be stored?
Store the lyophilised powder sealed at −20 °C, protected from light and moisture. Allow the vial to reach room temperature before opening. Stability in solution should be validated within your own laboratory protocol.
Do you ship thymosin alpha-1 from the UK?
Yes. Orders placed before 3PM UK time, Monday to Friday, are normally dispatched the same day by Royal Mail Tracked 24. See our Shipping Policy.
Do you provide dosing or usage advice?
No. Thymosin alpha-1 is supplied for in vitro laboratory research only. We do not provide dosage, administration or medical advice of any kind.
Research use only. This product is supplied strictly for in vitro laboratory research. It is not for human or animal use, and not for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. By purchasing, you agree to our Research Use Disclaimer.
