Description
Epithalon research peptide
Epithalon (also spelled epitalon, or AEDG) is a synthetic tetrapeptide with the sequence Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly. It was developed from research on epithalamin, a peptide extract of the pineal gland. In the laboratory it is studied in cell culture research on telomerase activity, telomere length and gene expression.
Supplied as a lyophilised powder in a 10mg vial. Epithalon is not a licensed medicine in the UK. We supply it strictly as a research reagent.

Storage and handling
Store the lyophilised powder at −20 °C, sealed and protected from light and moisture. Allow the vial to reach room temperature before opening to limit condensation. Prepare solutions according to your laboratory’s validated protocols, using appropriate PPE. Bacteriostatic water is available separately for laboratory use.
Frequently asked questions
What is Epithalon?
Epithalon is a synthetic tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) developed from research on epithalamin, a peptide extract of the pineal gland. It is studied in vitro in research on telomerase activity and gene expression in cell culture models.
Is Epithalon the same as epitalon or AEDG?
Yes. Epithalon, epitalon and AEDG (from its one-letter sequence, Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) are different names for the same tetrapeptide.
What is Epithalon studied for in the laboratory?
Epithalon is mainly studied in cell culture research on telomerase activity and telomere length, and on gene expression in cultured cells. This work is pre-clinical and carried out in controlled laboratory settings.
What is the Epithalon sequence?
The sequence is Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly. Its molecular formula is C14H22N4O9, with a molecular weight of about 390.3 g/mol.
What purity is your Epithalon?
Every batch is purity tested by Janoshik, an independent laboratory, using HPLC before it is released for sale.
How should Epithalon be stored?
Store the lyophilised powder sealed at −20 °C, protected from light and moisture. Allow the vial to reach room temperature before opening. Stability in solution should be validated within your own laboratory protocol.
Do you ship Epithalon from the UK?
Yes. Orders placed before 3PM UK time, Monday to Friday, are normally dispatched the same day by Royal Mail Tracked 24. See our Shipping Policy.
Do you provide dosing or usage advice?
No. Epithalon is supplied for in vitro laboratory research only. We do not provide dosage, administration or medical advice of any kind.
Research use only. This product is supplied strictly for in vitro laboratory research. It is not for human or animal use, and not for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. By purchasing, you agree to our Research Use Disclaimer.
